Terrace Wires is back with a bang!

We are extremely thrilled to announce that for the third year of our Terrace Wires public sculpture series, we’ve partnered with the Royal Academy of Arts to commission this year’s installation.

The first artwork, selected as part of the four year partnership with the leading arts institution, will be by British artist and Royal Academician Cornelia Parker.

We’ve been huge fans of Cornelia since her previous artworks in the 80s and 90s featured our station as her subject, but she’s now taken the UK art world by storm and we cannot wait to see her newest piece exhibited in all its glory.

The sculpture, One More Time will be a working replica of the station’s DENT London clock, reversed out in black with white hands and numerals in silver detail. It will be suspended from our stunning Barlow Shed roof, 16 metres in front of the original, so for those alighting from the trains the original face will gradually appear eclipsed.

The piece will be fully unveiled on Thursday 28th May – let the countdown begin!
